Doggy Health

Oh, the dramas of being the parents of 2 elderly labradors!

Lucy had a lump cut off, yesterday, so is feeling sorry for herself. I also feel for her.

Harry can’t walk today because yesterday he was standing on his elderly back legs trying to pick apples from the tree. 🥴

Tomorrow, they’ll be fine.

Meanwhile, it’s time for a morning nap, to ease the aches.

I love coming home to mail!

Back to Perth

We are safely home, again, and enjoying a very civilised 21.3 °C (feels like 19.7 °C) instead of the stupidly hot and smokey temperatures Queensland has been having for the last month.

Not that the weather here has been cooler ALL the while that we were away. I believe we missed a day here last week when it was 40.3 °C, the hottest Nov day in 4 years. Thank goodness for that!

We are home for 18 days before our next trip back East.

I have some serious sewing to do for Miles’ big brothers and an unborn cousin.

Would you believe that it’s only 36 days until Christmas?

Brisbane Storm

We missed the storm on our way to Brisbane airport, thankfully. Apparently, 60 Avis rental cars were damaged, this afternoon.

70th Birthday

Last night, we officially celebrated Andrew Cumming’s 70th birthday at Sirromet Winery.

It’s always nice to go out with family, don’t you think?

Birthday Celebrations

An early birthday celebration for Pa with the grandkids. His birthday is next week, but we’ll be back in Perth, by then.

We started the “Birthday Breakfast” at tradition over 25 years ago as a result of busy schedules.

Baby Shower

Today, my daughters and their sisters from other mothers & I  went to a high tea Baby Shower for my next grandchild (which is due in mid-Jan).

By-the-by, we’re crap at Fan-Girling. John Travolta was standing beside us for 5 mins, and we didn’t even recognise him. We were too busy ogling his car!

A Hot Day!

“A hot day, in’it, Mum!” as Miranda used to say when we lived in Cloncurry.

At 10am this morning, it was already 35°C.

Patrick is going to Brisbane, for the first time. We’ve stopped at the Ginger Factory for a feed and change of duds.

Edit: 1pm. 44°C - Ridiculous!
