Pre-Wedding Babysitting

Felix was a good boy for his Gramma Flick tonight.

He was too busy playing with her torch to even cry when his parents skipped happily out the door

for a romantic pre-wedding dinner for two.

Unpacking

The unpacking is very slow but going quite smoothly (not enough cupboard / wardrobe space, so big decisions being made - again- on what to keep & what to chuck).

I will never need to buy another clock, lightbulb or new toothbrush again!

It's weird what one collects.

Note to self to remember to ask 5 questions before buying:

1. Do you need it?

2. Where to put it?

3. Have you got s'thing that does the same or similar things?

4. Did you use or waste the last one?

5. Can you live without it?

New Home

We've bought a new house! The MOTH wanted to make the move to Perth, Western Australia, a permanent one to maximise his career opportunities. I'm here with mixed feelings (going for a year of adventure is one thing, but going and staying so far from my children and grandchild is another), but am making the most of the new opportunities. I'm sure I'll be sorry for myself some of the time, but I'm also sure that the heart will recover. We've kept our Brisbane house in case one day we want to move back East
