New Charts

Thank you everyone for your wonderfully supportive blog anniversary wishes. Like all the wonderful stitching & beading support you have given me over the last two years, your messages were much appreciated.

I couldn't help myself. It was sitting there at my LNS with my name on it! I bought a rather large (? a fat half) piece of dark coffee 32ct linen but needed suggestions as to what I should do with it.

I just spent aother fortune at Colours Down Under, an online counted cross-stitch shop based in Perth, Western Australia. I think this design will look very nice on that piece of fabric and hanging in my bedroom (if you look at Gypsy on the side panel, she's sitting on the bed - bad cat! The quilt is a light shade of the same fabric & also has the rose theme)

While I was there, I also bought ...

I think it's time I 'went on the wagon'

I really love the "Grandmothers House" design from Told In A Garden.

Happy belated blogiversary to you!

On the fabric.. I bought some recently because I'd seen a Quaker sampler done on it in cream, light -medium pink, and soft grass green. It was really, really pretty. The colors were a perfect compliment to the fabric. I'd bet turquoise and yellow would be nice too.

Have fun discovering the perfect thing for you!

Hi Bliss, Just wanted to let you know that I didn't save the Serendipity parts so I'm afraid I no longer have them. Have you tried emailing Yvonne at Papillon as I'm sure she'll be able help.

Just saw Sallys comment, Im not sure if I still have them or not but I will look for you.

On the coffee fabric front, have you seen the new L&L Isabella's Garden, that is done on a darkish brown fabric and looks lovely.

Hmm, my first thought would be for a sampler of some kind, but I can't think of any particular one at the moment. I'll keep my eyes open and let you know what I come up with.

I like Ruth's idea for pastels on the brown (I am working on a project with that color scheme myself!) or maybe a variety of creams/beiges. As far as charts go, there are quite a few free French designs that would look fantastic. I don't have access to my list of links right now. Drop me an email if you'd like and I'll look them up.

Have fun deciding - that's half the joy of stitching! :o)
