Blast from the past - Settlement Day Memory from 2012
In WA, property settlement is one day & possession from noon the next. At 11am 10 years ago, we found ourselves at a Clivia Expo not far from our new home waiting that last very long hour. Having chosen a tray of seedlings (flowering plants are at least 3yrs old & quite expensive), I was talking too much (as usual) to a lady from the display & explaining how we had to leave all our beautiful pot plants (including our Clivia) in QLD due to WA's quarantine laws & that our new plants would be something special when she abruptly trotted off & returned with a gorgeous specimen, a house warming gift!
The Clivia, now in my Brisbane garden, is again in flower.
